JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Partner in Development with IBM since 1996, our firm understands the character, nature and scope of developing enterprise wide solutions.

A large part of our heritage lies in delivering enterprise wide support. Each of our development teams comprise seasoned; multi-disciplined IT professionals hand selected for the depth and breadth of experience each delivers to a unique customer solution.

Currently, we are searching for a UI Web Architect/Designer.
In this role, the UIWeb Designer will work with the User Experience Director to design and build feature rich, interactive and dynamic web pages.
The ideal candidate must be able to take a design from wireframe, to graphic design to final HTML.
Must represent clean, efficient design sensibilities and believe in clear, semantically structured HTML, supported with CSS.

Key Accountabilities:
• Develop, design, code (with full commenting), and maintain the presentation layer systems
• Stay current with the newest online technologies; research new technologies and make recommendations on implementations
• Collaborate effectively with architect leads, content engineering, creative, and server engineering teams
• Research, document, and communicate systems implementation and use

Core Competencies:
• AJAX – intermediate or advanced level
• Javascript – intermediate or advanced level
• XML – intermediate or advanced level
• PHP – intermediate or advanced level
• MySQL – intermediate or advanced level
• HTML/DHTML/XHTML – intermediate or advanced level
• CSS – intermediate or advanced level

Required Experience:
Required Skills:
• 2+ years professional Internet work experience
• Professional presence and focused on getting the job done
• Self starter with the ability to think outside of the box
• Ability to operate effectively both independently as well and within a team
• Detail oriented (must have well commented code)
• Ambition to learn new technologies and concepts
• Proven problem-solving & de-bugging skills
• Designing interfaces that scale and extend elegantly based on business, user and brand needs
• Translating designs into specifications and working with engineers and QA teams to create the final product

Additional Desirable Skills:
• Prior work experience on an Enterprise site
• Previous code generation experience
• Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web
• Ability to brainstorm well with other team members and give and take constructive feedback.
• Experience with design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.)
• Working knowledge of PC, UNIX, and Mac environments
• Linux / Apache – basic understanding with operating from the command line, at a minimum.
