JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Cabling Technician - South Florida
Wiring.com Inc. is seeking an experienced cabling technician based in South Florida (see below about travel availability requirements). The postion entails performing Move, Add, Change (MAC) low-voltage cabling work by yourself, or being part of a crew on larger projects. Wiring.com will provide tools, test equipment, etc.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Meet with clients to review project
Develop materials list
Organize pre-project tasks
Install copper and fiber cabling systems
Quality inspections of work performed
Testing, labeling, and as-built documentation
Field troubleshoot systems
Ensure Wiring.com practices are met
Client satisfaction

NOTE: the current position is seeking an individual with some Ethernet networking experience (only apply if you are familiar with setting up networks)
Requirements:
BICSI registered Technician or similar certification desired
Manufacturer training
Software skills: Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD
Communicate with customer electronically
Familiar with rack mounting network equipment
Structured cabling systems (CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber)
Building construction and fire stopping procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of customer requirements
