Position Title: Part Time Technical Auditor
Job Grade: A05
FLSA Status: Hourly


Position Summary/Essential Functions:

Performs wide variety of job functions including Clerical/Technical Audit, accounting and reconciliation of invoiced parts and labor on service orders. Areas of responsibility include pre-payment and post-payment audits of services billed from contractors using technical product knowledge, computerized database information, and other file lookup methods. Verifies invoices for items such as technical accuracy, matching diagnosis and parts, etc. Responsible for making decisions on whether charges are reasonable for services performed, policy/plan coverage and exclusions. Communicates with contractors regarding disputes/changes in invoices resulting from technical audits. Interacts with contractors and Managers on issues pertaining to adherence to contractual agreements, payment and audit issues. Provides and documents detailed contractor instruction on billing and invoicing policies and procedures as needed. Handles calls from contractors for pre-approval of major rate repair service. Works with minimal supervision. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned to support the daily activities of the department and company.

Required Experience:
Qualifications:

* High school education or equivalent is required.
* Minimum six months customer service and data entry experience.
* Minimum six months accounting experience preferred.
* ABILITY TO TYPE 30+ WPM when tested
* Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills – verbal and written. Must be able to effectively and accurately communicate the written word, via email, and the spoken word, via telephone.
* Ability to research using traditional and online resources.
* Working familiarity of various office equipment (telephone, computer, fax, copier, etc…)
* Must be PC proficient with skills in MS Power Point, Excel and Word.
* Technical knowledge in Plumbing, Electrical, Pool and Spa preferred.
* Product and/or Parts knowledge a plus.
* Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedule based on business needs.
