JOB DESCRIPTION: The local Boy Scout Council is accepting resumes for the position of District Executive for Bay, Gulf, Holmes and Washington counties.

Required Experience:
Required qualifications include a Bachelors degree, excellent communication skills, planning and organization abilities, flexible work schedule (including some nights and few weekends) and residency in the Bay County area. Candidate must by at least 21 and be an insured driver with automobile and be accepted under BSA membership standards.
This is a management and sales type position. Executive would work with volunteer board of directors and other community and business leaders in the operations within the service area. The District Executive is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the district including:

-Membership recruitment and retention.

-Ensuring program quality through volunteers, regular leader meetings, training events and activities.

-Fundraising through a volunteer structure to meet the financial needs of the organization.

-Recognizing the importance of good working relationships with other professionals and with volunteers. The organization depends on community support. Executive must have good communication skills and be able to explain the program goals and objectives to the public.
