Day Treatment Program Description
The Day Treatment Program provides services for children 6 years of age through 17. It is designed to meet the needs of children and families who require an intensive therapeutic setting in order for positive emotional and behavioral change to occur. Day treatment services include the provision of group and individual therapy; rehabilitation services, behavior management and care services designed to develop, maintain or restore the skills necessary to allow the child improved functioning in the family, classroom and community.
Behavioral Specialist: One Full-Time position available immediately.
Per Diem positions also available.
Hours: 7:30AM – 3:30PM – Monday through Friday
Responsibilities: Writing a daily behavioral based intervention note; completing behavior points sheets on an hourly basis, monitoring, maintaining and evaluating children’s behaviors, communicating with team therapist on a daily basis, completing weekly billing sheets, organizing weekly packets, and physically capable of attending Professional Crisis Management training in order to learn how to perform physical immobilization techniques.
Compensation: 50%-60% Of Benefits (vision, health, dental)are paid for by the agency; Paid Time Off after probationary period. Pay $10-$11 hourly.

Required Experience: Prerequisites: BA, BS in psychology, or mental health related degree or Certified Behavior Health Technician; Excellent documentation skills. Upbeat, positive and flexible personality a must!!
Preferred: Classroom management experience: De-escalation skills, and implementation of behavioral modification and theory. Knowledge of strength based intervention models to de-escalate defiant children. Experience working with EH and SED children at the Elementary, Middle and High School ages.
