Florida Hospital Altamonte is currently looking for a Director of Emergency Services. The Administrative Director has direct 24 hour authority/responsibility for the Emergency Service Line and Flight Medicine. Oversees and monitors the performance improvement. Responsible for guiding and developing staff competencies for nursing by being a teacher and a role model. Facilitates communication between nursing and medical staff and other hospital departments. Required Experience: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • BSN required. • Graduate degree such as MHA, MNA, MA, MBA, MS, MSN or MPH is required. • Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience. • Minimum of three (3) years in a role of Director in an Emergency Department setting. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: The Administrative Director must have a good knowledge of Emergency nursing practices. Must demonstrate the ability to manage employees, develop strategic plans, and communicate effectively. Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Exhibits initiative and skill in identifying and settling problems. Supports administration and demonstrates enthusiasm for the position and organization.
