Requirements
Manages nursing department in nursing center to maintain quality standards of care, and advises medical staff, department heads, and Administrator in matters related to nursing service.
*Interprets nursing philosophy and establishes departmental goals and objectives.
*Institutes organizational structure and communications systems which include all levels of nursing staff to promote effective care delivery.
*Directs the nursing staff in its entirety. May exercise direction over the entire center staff in the absence of the Administrator.
*1-6 years in long-term or acute health care experience preferred. At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.
*Lifting 10 lbs. frequently and occasionally lifting 50 lbs. maximum.
*Travel as required for regional or corporate meetings and marketing duties.
EDUCATION:
- Currently licensed as RN in this state. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
