JOB DESCRIPTION:   Part-Time Caretaker Sundays: Elderly, Healthy Couple... Reply to: nancybond@earthlink.net POSITION: We’re searching for a smart, competent and compassionate person to help my parents (elderly but in overall good shape with some mobility issues) maintain an independent life-style in their home by providing support services during the day. Sunday job will require light meal preparation, laundry and clean up, as well as companionship to both of my folks. Hours roughly from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Additional hours will be offered to this person (but not required to work) from time to time (during the week or on Saturdays) as we need someone to fill in for our permanent caretaker, who lives in a nearby building, and is "on call" 24/7. Nice family with great working conditions. REQUIREMENTS: Seek bright, energetic but patient individual with a positive attitude, a good sense of humor and common sense. Must be a good communicator and able to lift up/down a Murphy Bed (which resides in the wall and drops to the floor at night). Do not require licensed home health aid or nurse but some experience in the Health Care field (i.e. Home Health Care Aid/Professional or Retired Nurse or Nurse's Aid) or any experience working with the elderly would be ideal (i.e. social worker). Person should not smoke and must be willing not to wear perfume on-the-job.
