JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant Public Works Director
Company: City of Coral Gables
Responsible for the effective administration of Capital Improvement Projects. Will work collaboratively with the Public Works Director and other management to oversee the design and construction of public works projects; including defining capital budget preparation procedure, evaluating and recommending project priorities, and processing grant applications. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and/or architecture and five years responsible, professional level experience. Must be registered for at least five years in the State of Florida as a professional engineer or professional architect. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license. Public sector experience preferred. State of Florida Certified General Contractor preferred.
