JOB DESCRIPTION: Assistant CHD Director - Requisition #64029994

The Florida Department of Health seeks highly professional applicants for the Assistant Director’s position for the Duval County Health Department, Jacksonville, Florida. Annual salary range is $33,057 - $137,453 plus benefits.
Minimum qualifications:
A Master’s Degree in any of the following: Public Health, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, Human Resources, or Public Administration, plus five or more years of progressively responsible experience in supervising or management, and at least one year of experience working in a public health field such as primary care, environmental health or communicable diseases.
Other desired skills/experience include:
operations management, community-based research, union negotiations, public speaking, working with elected officials and the media, quality improvement, experience in bio-terrorism and disaster response, labor relations and proven successful grant writing is highly desirable.
