Short Description:
RF Engineer III is responsible for conducting highly complex network system administration and design engineering activities to maximize network connectivity and capacity.
The duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Determine the required parameters/equipment necessary to construct a properly functioning iDEN cell site.
2. Model designed iDEN site using Wizard to verify coverage and system impact to support RF Design. In depth post processing analysis will be required to optimize the current system as well as new site turn on to ensure the integrity of the markets.
3. Ensure proper optimization of the iDEN network.
4. Uses various measurement tools including Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscope, RF Power meters, VSWR measurement tools, GPS system, RF Field Strength meters, service monitor to collect and analyze relevant data including data needed to comply with any regulatory requirements
5. Assist in verifying system performance of all new and existing cell sites in the designated markets.
6. Work with the Service Management group to accurately and quickly troubleshoot customer trouble tickets.
7. Work with the frequency planning team to efficiently use spectrum to support the iDEN network.
8. Work with the Traffic team to ensure our blocking is within GOS. Ensure special event planning is considered in the applicable markets of control.
9. Support large scale special projects including concentric cell implementation, COW deployments and any/all rebanding activities.

Required Experience: Minimum Qualifications
1. BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.(Masters Degree preferred)
2. Five to Seven Years Experience in the RF engineering field
3. Experience using RF propagation tools such as Planet, Wizard, ..etc
4. Excellent PC skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills iDEN Required
