Axia College of University of Phoenix is currently seeking candidates for the Associate of Arts in degree programs which are available to all prospective students who currently have earned less than 40 college credits. These students will range from working adults to 18-year old, full-time students. Research shows that students who are new to the college experience require a different instructional model than those who have earned a higher level of college credits. In light of this, Axia College is striving to meet the needs of students who are relatively new to the college experience while affording them the convenience of online learning. In order to meet these needs, Axia College has adopted the following concepts as part of our learning model:
- Content-driven curriculum and classroom
- Instruction based teaching model vs. facilitation based teaching model
- Standardized curriculum
- High student to instructor contact (predetermined faculty office hours required)
