JOB DESCRIPTION:   Teaching Assistant/Teacher Needed We are looking for a person who enjoys working with children in grades K-5, thrives in a multi-cultural setting, and has a passion for education and helping others. If you would like to get experience in the classroom before you commit your time, money, and energy to being certified- this is the opportunity for you! As a Notre Dame AmeriCorps member serving at Kids in Motion in Apopka you will receive these benefits: -AmeriCorps living allowance of up to $5770 in total distributed between January and July of 2007 (comes to a little under $200 each week after taxes) -Health Insurance -The education award of $2362 after completion of 900 hours of service to be used toward past or future educational costs -Educational trainings, workshops, and bi-weekly team meetings with other volunteers -Attendance at the Mid Year Gathering of all our national volunteers (over 175!) in Washington DC in February -The chance to serve the community of Apopka -Great resume builder!
