JOB DESCRIPTION: Program Manager of Government Programs wanted in St. Petersburg, FL
Description:
An excellent opportunity with a government defense contractor for someone experienced in managing a major government sponsored program.
Primary responsibilities:
Maintain technical, cost, schedule and risk assessments for a large scale guided munitions research and development program.
Manage a team of engineers and contractors to meet the goals of one or more contracts.
Coordinate with the following departments: Contracts, Program Controls, Procurement, Quality, Systems Engineering, and Production Engineering to execute contract tasks.
This role is the primary interface to the customer and senior management requiring an ability to ensure confidence and long term customer relationships
Requirements:
* Must have experience managing a major government sponsored program.
* Minimum 7-12 years related experience and 5 years supervisory experience.
* Bachelor of Science in a Technical field.
* R&D Program Management experience.
* Must have good writing, communication and presentation skills.
* Experience in managing large technical and cost proposals.
* Individual must be able to obtain a SECRET level clearance as a condition of employment.
* Applied knowledge of Six Sigma techniques highly preferred.
