JOB DESCRIPTION: (2 Job positions available - located in BOCA RATON and ORLANDO, FL )
S.G.M. Engineering, Inc. is a full-service Consulting Engineering organization responsible for the design of all HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems for governmental, schools, commercial, retail, institutional, health care and multi-family facilities.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Develop electrical distribution design and specifications for medium, low and high voltage systems.
Perform electrical system analysis including short circuit studies, coordination studies and arc flash studies.
Perform lighting calculations and develop lighting design and specifications.
Develop motor loop drawings.
Develop instrumentation loop drawings.
Interpret and apply applicable national electrical code articles, building codes and life safety codes to system design and specifications.
Review, stamp and sign design documents prepared by you and others.
Possess familiarity w/ related drawing, permitting & regulatory requirements.
Provide project management and supervision of subcontracted firms.

Required Experience:
Minimum of 5-7+ years design experience within the A/E industry
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of the construction process
AutoCAD is a plus
