This company is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary Interior Design and Architecture firm providing complete planning, design, architecture, and construction administration services. We specialize in commercial and retail projects including automotive, malls, specialty stores, and more. We are looking for a dynamic leader with excellent technical and people skills. To be successful in this role, your qualifications will include:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Registration as a professional Architect a plus.
- A minimum of 10 years experience
- Extensive experience in preparation of construction documents for large & complex commercial projects.
- Proficiency and recent experience utilizing AutoCAD 2002
- Proficiency and recent experience utilizing scheduling software
- Proficiency in utilizing PC for architectural/engineering applications.
- Proficiency in the application of standard architectural/engineering theories and concepts

Required Experience: The ideal candidate will posses the necessary skills to perform the following:
- Lead and manage multiple Architects and Designers with a client focused, teamwork approach.
- Have detailed knowledge of construction techniques and Architectural details and have a common sense approach to completing tasks.
- Oversee production and profitability of projects.
- Budget time and personnel based on the projects and continuously monitors their status.
- Develop and train staff; mentor junior staff.
- Review quality of drawings and maintains those levels throughout. Insures that design and drawing standards meet pre-defined criteria.
- Troubleshoot problem areas
- Facilitate inter-departmental communication
- Provide supervision and guidance on all technical matters related to delivery of projects, be responsible for guiding, supervising and maintaining quality, budget and schedule across multiple A/E teams.
- Coordinate, review and approve site investigation reports for new projects and/or relocations.
- Coordinate new and upcoming approved projects, getting “as-built” plans and specifications.
- Consult and coordinate with all architects, engineers, contractors and vendors new architectural design criteria, new concepts and specifications.
- Review and approve site, architectural and MEP plans, making sure our latest design criteria and/or all applicable local, city and county codes and regulations are being implemented or followed.
- Coordinate permit status or comments to be addressed on plans with local, city, or county building departments for re-submittal.
- Assist with business development efforts as needed
