JOB DESCRIPTION: ship builder in Northeast Florida, is seeking a Planner / Scheduler
Prepare master production plans and schedules
Determine manpower levels based on plans
Help implement lean manufacturing concepts
Oversee development of work breakdown structure
Develop yard manning forecasts and evaluate constraints
Lead and advise shop planning efforts
Generate reports on the status of projects
Bachelors Degree Engineering / Architecture / Business (an accredited university)
Minimum 2 + years shipyard experience in project management and/or scheduling and planning
Knowledge of the shipbuilding process and knowledge of structural design The candidate must be proficient in the use of MS Project and Excel
The candidate must be computer literate and one that types quickly.
Ability to speak effectively before others in and outside the organization. Effectively communicate and respond to questions from managers, executive leadership, shipyard workers & employees, and clients
