JOB DESCRIPTION: Staff Accountant

Westgate Resorts, the world's largest privately held timeshare company, is currently seeking a Staff Accountant.
The position is responsible for preparation, review, analysis and presentation of various accounting processes- inclusive of journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliation and revenue & expense variance.
Essential duties and responsibilities
* assist and implement ongoing development of reconciliation procedure
* preparation , review analysis and presentation of department financial statements
* timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliation (includes the clean up of reconciling items)
* complete projects as assigned * exercise proper judgment and present all findings with a game plan to resolve issues
* provide support to other staff members and managers
Qualifications
* 4 year degree in accounting
* excellent organizational and communication skills
* ability to exercise proper judgment and present all findings with a game plan to resolve issues
* proficient knowledge of databases- oracle, access
* proficient knowledge of excel
* strong analytical abilities
* ability to work independently and in a group environment
* verify and confirm for accuracy and completion month end
