JOB DESCRIPTION: The Polo Club of Boca Raton is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team. The Polo Club is a premier private member-owned residential community providing world class amenities and services to its members. The Club centers itself around a magnificent 145,000 square foot clubhouse with multiple dining venues, two championship golf courses, twenty nine tennis courts, a large outdoor pool with a children’s activity center and a 30,000 square foot, world- class spa and fitness center.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Accountant with management experience and will assist in developing and implementing policies designed to control and coordinate accounting and related activities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Process Estoppel letters for new/resale closings and allocation of funds
•Review and approve Accounts Payable invoices for payment
•Daily sales reconciliation
•Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly
•Monthly journal entries
•Monthly financial statements
•Report and collect delinquent accounts
•Maintain Capital budget expenditures binder and spreadsheets
•Acts as the primary back up for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
•Special projects as requested by the CFO or the Controller |

Required Experience:
•BA/BS in Accounting
•3+ years of accounting experience
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
•Experience with Jonas software a plus
•Hospitality Accounting experience (country club or hotel) |
