JOB DESCRIPTION:   Certified Medical Coder Company: CareersUSA Certified Medical Coder Treatment facility located in the West Palm Beach, FL area is seeking a Certified Medical Coder. This Certified Medical Coder must have at least 4+ years of medical coding experience adhering to all official coding policies, procedures, and guidelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Apply the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing for all medical claims - Abstract pertinent information from patient records - Assign ICD-9-CM or HCPCS codes, creating APC or DRG group assignments - Responsible for identification of patients, identification of abstraction, validation and entry of all required data into the billing system - Code clinical documentation correctly and efficiently - Research and apply official coding guidelines - Maintain current coding compliance requirements - CPT and ICD-9 coding ABOUT THE COMPANY This treatment facility considers employees a vital part of its success, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
