JOB DESCRIPTION: If you are an Estimator/Purchasing Manager/Agent with at least 3+years of experience working in the construction industry…read on!

We are a growing residential and commercial contractor located in DeLand, FL.

What you will be doing:

* Prepare preliminary construction budgets.
* Generate proposals for review and submittal to potential customers.
* Post awarded projects to cost database, issue purchase orders.
* Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
* Recommend dept. process improvements to increase effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.
* Maintain positive subcontractor and vendor relationships; identify new qualified subcontractor alliances.

Required Experience:
Must be a local candidate with prior estimating and purchasing experience.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines is crucial.

* At least 3 years experience in the construction industry.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and math skills.
* Construction management knowledge.
* Working knowledge and comprehension of blueprints and plans.
* Ability to determine quantities based off of blueprints and specifications.
* Customer service skills.
* Contract administration (specific to construction industry).
* Working knowledge of MS Excel. Timberline Estimating experience a plus.
