JOB DESCRIPTION: Construction Accountant

Summary:
Responsibilities for setting up and maintaining job-related information in Timberline and for the timely and accurate processing of all Notice to Owners and tracking of lien waivers.
Responsibilities:
Processing and administration of all Notice to Owners to ensure proper filing was met.
Logging and tracking of all Lien Waivers by job and maintaining accurate files
Research and resolution of all issues regarding NTO’s, Notice of Non-Payments and lien waivers
Set up of new jobs in Timberline and maintaining job information
Set up of job budgets (PCA), new cost codes and job cost transfers
Set up of vendor and subcontractor contracts and change orders
Assist AP and AR with job closeout procedures
Assist Sr. Accounting Specialist with subcontractor checks
Other duties as assigned by the Controller or VP of Finance
Qualifications:
4 year degree in accounting required
5-10 years of recent construction experience with Job Costing, NTO’s and lien waivers
Clear understanding of the overall accounting function within a construction company
Solid computer skills including MS Office 2003: Outlook, Excel and Word and any accounting application software
Timberline experience is required
Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while working under deadlines
Through understanding of Florida Lien Law
Location: Sanford, FL
