JOB DESCRIPTION: Construction Accountant

The Construction Accountant is responsible for overall monthly cost and overhead accounting for Architecture/Real Estate Development Company.
Duties include, but are no limited to, the following:
•Perform cost accounting functions such as month end, quarterly and year end financial statements
•Coordinate input of all subcontractor applications for payment including the preparation of AIA 702/703 draw schedules
•Oversee accounting data entry, contract management, Notice to Owners, Release of Liens, Certificate of Insurances and typical vendor relationship management
•Prepare monthly cash management forecasts
•Complete analytical cost projects and other typical financial analysis as directed
•Perform, analyze and report monthly budget to actual reports
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
•Minimum of 3 years construction related experience
•Management of AP/AR personnel
•Interface with senior level Accounting Managers required
•Self-starter, detailed and highly organized, as well as being team oriented
•Knowledgeable and competent with Newstar, Excel and Microsoft Office software
